Been a long long time, i know, it's the same old excuse, just been plain busy. But, i have some stuff that might be of some interest so read on:

- as you all know, i've started my grad school program and so far, it's been pretty good. My classes are surpisingly interesting and manageable, considering i'm working full time, driving an hour + to school and am trying to maintain somewhat of a social life. what's funny is that i'm quickly becoming a true Michigan fan! Hail to the Victors! i know, it's starting to piss off some of my Michigan State and other Big 10 friends. but alas, it happens, right? i never went to a Div I school before, never went to a school where there's so much obvious obnoxious school pride before. sure i love Maryland, but i never went there so i missed out on a ton of the hoopla. so anyway, Go BLUE!

- i am still on my rant of weddings, so $1500 in the hole later, i still have 2 weddings left for the year (that i know of, of course... ) the one is LA was AWESOME!!! check out the pictures:

I'm heading over to DC the weekend of the 14th for yet another wedding, so if anyone's around and wants to meet up, let me know. Ooh, and i'm in a wedding in SF next year so i'll be heading out there a couple times for it, i'll let you know more...

- On a more exciting note, the Detroit Tigers are in the playoffs!! and they're tied with the Yankees - btw, those who know me know how much i loathe the Yankees (they fall in with Duke, the Cowboys, and the Lakers, in my book)- so it thrills me to no end that they're doing their thing. Great time for sports in Detroit. Now if the Lions could get off their asses and make soemthing happen. Don't worry, i'm still a Redskins and Bears fan, but come on, living in a city where the football team sucks sucks. but, we're moving in the right direction, first the Red Wings, then the Pistons, then the Tigers, so i guess it's just a waiting game now

- lets see, what else is going on... Jimmy's doing good, we're doing fine. Not much to report there. We hit our 1 year last month - yes, it's true, i acutally stuck around for a year! those who know me know that i'm not much of a commitmnet gal in that respect. Always had to do with keeping my options open, it's the go-getter in me. But i've found a guy who can keep up with me and keep me interested. so i guess we'll see what happens...

- aside from that, i guess that's it! Sorry for the long winded blog, i'll try to keep them shorter and more frequent next time. hope all is well!!

Here are some thoughts of what's been going on lately:

- Work's been busy as usual

- just booked a trip to LA the weekend of Sept 23 (my buddy is getting married and i'm required to go ) it will be fun, as it always is when i'm around

- going back to DC next weekend. it's about time i visted the family.

- for those fo you who are wondering, Jim and i are still together (yes, i can't beleive it either) and we're still going strong

- my friend Cathering got engaged. Her ring is 3.1 Carats. Simple amazing!

- just finished the latest Harry Potter. the one with the half blood prince. i have my theories on this book... i just need to find someone who can entertain them.

hmm, that's about it. i live a boring and uneventful life. hahaha
